Magnit closes deal to acquire 2,477 Dixy stores for 87.6 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Jul 22 (PRIME) -- Russian grocery retailer Magnit has closed a deal to acquire 2,477 stores of retail chain Dixy for 87.6 billion rubles, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

In May, Magnit evaluated the deal at 92.4 billion rubles, but the price has been adjusted, because the number of Dixy stores decreased by 174 due to organic closure, and Magnit’s inability to acquire 148 stores due to an order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
